is "Smart Silo"?
Smart
Silo™ is an innovative new bulk cement supply service that combines convenience
with reliability. The stock level of the bulk cement silo is
automatically monitored and transmitted directly to CEMEX's Customer Service
team. Our system analyses and predicts the usage of each
individual site. Cement is automatically dispatched to the site as
and when required, seamlessly replenishing the stock.
How
does Smart Silo work?

After an initial site audit,
CEMEX will fit a sensor system to existing silos.

The cement stock level is
monitored every hour and readings are transmitted via gprs modem to our Smart
Silo™ computer system.

Data is logged and processed by
the Smart Silo™ computer system, plotting future usage based on recent trends.

CEMEX logistics and customer
service teams use this information to place orders automatically on
the customer's behalf.

Customers can log on and view
historic consumption, current stock levels and future usage trends. Smart Silo™
eliminates administration and takes the guess work out of cement supply.
